When Letters Meet Luck: Our Event with L2S & VOH

There’s a quiet power in writing a letter to someone you’ve never met. Add in a raffle, a room full of eager writers, and two amazing organizations and you have one of our favorite events yet.

We were so excited to partner with Letters to Strangers (L2S) and Voice of Help (VOH) for a letter writing raffle event and it did not disappoint. Both organizations are strong believers in the healing power of human connection and their coming together seemed like a natural fit from the start.

The idea was simple. People attending wrote notes of heartfelt encouragement to strangers who may just need a little light shone on them for a day. Each letter written was a raffle ticket, which added a fun element to an already meaningful afternoon. At the end of the event prizes were drawn and cheered on, but truth? The real prize was every single letter would be sent out through L2S and VOH networks to someone who needs it.

The energy in the room was crazy. People came in a little quiet and left having filled pages. There were laughs, moments of focused writing and a real sense of community that made the whole day feel special. The L2S and the VOH teams put so much heart into everything and it showed.

To both organizations – thank you for having us in there. We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with people doing such meaningful work and hope this is the start of many collaborations to come.
